Artificial intelligence will be one of the fastest-growing areas in the coming years, creating many high value-added jobs. The project aims to implement an educational model to ensure the development of future AI experts' highly specialized skills and competencies and verify its effectiveness.

The implementation of the model can demystify the concept of AI and increase the interest of the target group in a career in artificial intelligence, which is currently only a rare choice of students' professional career in computer science study programs. Simultaneously, the development of knowledge and skills will help to deploy solutions based on artificial intelligence. Achieving the objectives will contribute to the development and improvement of higher education, which should ensure a level of digital skills of young people that will provide them with the widest possible opportunities for employment.

The project develops digital preparedness, advanced digital skills, and available capacities, using digital technologies not only as a goal (mastery of AI technology) but also as a means of ensuring effective education using state-of-the-art approaches. The project will create high-quality educational resources in a user-friendly online virtual environment to respect privacy and ethical standards.

Project Unique Features

The main aim of the project is to design, develop and evaluate a new educational model of learning programming languages and later advanced IT topics, which will be based on the suitably balanced combination of several contemporary educational approaches, modern learning environment and immediate feedback. We believe that proposed educational model will engage young people, as well as learners of all ages, to study programming languages and other topics of IT in a way, which is closer to their expectations, learning preferences and which prepare them for the life-long (constant) learning.

A balanced combination of contemporary educational approaches.

Modern learning environment

Modern learning environment based on the evaluated educational model as a background.

Programming language courses

Eight programming language courses with more than 2000 microlearning units and 1500 code assignments.

IT courses

Six advanced online IT courses focused on software and data engineering with real assignments.

Universities and SMEs

Experience with the cross-sector cooperation between universities and SMEs in the international environment.

Learning analytics

Advanced methodology for evaluation of learners’ behaviour using learning analytics.

Project Timeline

Transnational project meetings were organized in line with the project milestones. Their main aim was to present the current state of the project, promote the intellectual outputs, analyse the data about the pilot deployment of the courses and discuss the open questions and future tasks.
Multiplier events entitled Innovation in Teaching Programming Languages, an educational model, were focused on the presentation of the developed micro-learning educational platform Priscilla. Simultaneously, the courses were presented to participants from different sectors (university, secondary schools, technological, and training organisations). Participants were able to test the educational platform under the supervision of trained lecturers and obtain new knowledge and experience.

Kick-off meeting
